Biography

Sandra bullock is what you call a modern day tale of fight towards the top with sheer will power while living life on your own terms. The actress who had had a bohemian upbringing later turned out to be among the top earning ladies in Hollywood . The wizardry at her craft shown by Bullock has been enough to prove her mettle to the world.

Born on 26 July 1964 , Arlington , Virginia , USA , Sandra had been influenced by the nuisances of music and singing ever since she can remember. The reason attributed to her mother Helga being an opera singer and her father John Bullock being a Pentagon contractor, executive and part-time vocal coach from Alabama . Sandra has just one younger sister, Gesine for a sibling. While frequently travelling with her mother on her opera tours, she lived in Germany and other parts of Europe for much of her childhood. Bullock studied ballet and vocal arts as a child, taking small parts in her mother's opera productions.

She attended the Washington-Lee High School where she was a cheerleader, and also participated in high school theater productions. She graduated in 1982 and enrolled in East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina. Bullock later left school during her senior year in 1986 to pursue an acting career, but earned a graduation degree much later from East Carolina University. Bullock boasts of two nationalities the other one being German.

Career in Movies
When she finally arrived on the New York scene, she prepared herself for the future career by taking acting classes from Neighborhood Playhouse. Soon she was to be seen in various student films and also made her Off-Broadway debut with play No Time Flat. Director Alan J. Levi was impressed by Bullock's performance and offered her a part in the made-for-TV movie Bionic Showdown: The Six Million Dollar Man and the Bionic Woman (1989).
With her shifting base to L.A., California, a period of real struggles started for her. And a host of independent movies like Working Girl (1990) followed. She later appeared in several films such as Love Potion No. 9 (1992), The Thing Called Love (1993) and Fire on the Amazon, she got her first noticeable performance in science-fiction/action movie, Demolition Man (1993).

But still, she was that one yard behind in joining the successful league of actors. And that too changed, when Speed (1994) fell into her lap. And the rest as everyone knows is history. The movies went to on to become the biggest grosser of all the times, earning Bullock the status of the top running actresses in the industry.

Not to be spared of any good fortune that had been brought upon her by this movie, Sandra soon followed the winning streak by delivering hits after another hits namely- While You Were Sleeping,Miss Congeniality and Two Weeks Notice. In fact, Bullock received 11 million dollars for Speed 2 and 17.5 million dollars for Miss Congeniality 2: Armed & Fabulous .

Many more films and a Golden Globe Award-nominated, Screen Actors Guild Award- and Saturn Award, came a film that rose Bullock in the eyes of critics. 2004 saw the release of Movie Crash, where she was in a supporting role. Nonetheless, the movies got rave reviews along with several Oscar awards, thus becoming a milestone in Sandra Bullock’s career.

Sandra has her production company, Fortis Films, which has undertaken various projects under it. She married motorcycle builder and Monster Garage host Jesse James on July 16, 2005.

The lady who earned herself a star on Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2005, have risen to the heights of success and prosperity just through her tough and determined attitude.
